FLEUR DE SEL
Known for containing over 84 minerals, very few impurities and a fine taste, Flor De Sal is among the healthiest salts known to the world. This salt has an element of moisture and is grayish in color and easily distinguished from common salts. Another very important quality of Flor de Sal is that it is free of toxicity. During the harvesting process, the heavy toxic elements sink to the bottom, while the fleur de sel is collected from the top and is therefore completely free of toxins.
For quite some time there was no awareness of salts, but as awareness increases, more and more people tend to buy natural salts instead of ordinary table salts. Since it is the main natural salt, its demand is growing rapidly.
WHEN AND WHY SHOULD I USE FLEUR DE SEL?
The light and delicate flakes of pure sea salt dissolve instantly when sprinkled on food.
Due to its delicate nature and higher price compared to other salts, fleur de sel is not designed to spice up a dish while you cook it. If you expose it to high temperatures, it will melt and lose its unique character.
Instead, you should use a pinch of fleur de sel in anything that needs a little extra oomph just before consuming it: salads, fish, meat, fruits, vegetables, and dessert. Some even sprinkle it over their oatmeal.
